Session 1: September 14 – October 5th, 2021
4 Week Session $185 + HST
Intro to Watercolours: Watercolour Techniques and Applications for Beginners

The basics of watercolour painting include an investigation in paint of florals, landscapes and abstract applications. Learn about the proper techniques and substrates for watercolour paints as well as other mediums to assist the process of making captivating paintings.

Session 2: October 12th – November 2nd, 2021
4 Week Session $185 + HST
Life Drawing

This class offers an introduction to life drawing techniques and media. It is a great class for anyone looking to expand their drawing skills and/or learn technical and formal conventions of representational drawing from life. Some of the specific ideas that will be covered in this class include:
* contour
* gesture
* proportion
* value/shading
* line
This course focuses on the development of observational skills and life drawing techniques, employing a wide range of drawing media and subject matter. Students in this course will develop both technical abilities and creative responses to material and subject matter. No prior experience with drawing is required or expected.

Session 3: November 9th – 30th, 2021
Life and Landscape Painting with Acrylics
4 Week Session $185 + HSTThis class will focus on exploration of painting using colour, composition, and intermediate techniques of life objects and the natural environment. Representational art and painting foundations will be discussed as participants work towards developing a disciplined painting practice that engages their mind and practices in looking.

Session 4: March 22nd – May 10th, 2022
Awakening the Artist Within & Defining Your Practice
8 Week Session/$370 + HST
In this class the limitless possibilities of art-making along with fundamental drawing and painting techniques will be introduced. Throughout this eight-week session we will be exploring various aspects of creating art including; Getting Started, Brushes and Their Uses, Artwork Composition, Colour Mixing, and Drawing & Painting as a Creative and Conceptual Experience.
Participants will develop their drawing and painting skills while focusing on art exploration in representational art and abstract works. Art foundations will be discussed in detail as participants work towards developing a disciplined painting practice that engages their mind, body and spirit.
