Alfresco Inspired Art
Students will create masterpieces large and small using mainly handmade and natural materials. Outdoor and ephemeral art projects will also be explored in this process-oriented art class. Possible projects include homemade watercolours creation, natural material printmaking and outdoor chalk murals.

Session Two:
All About Me
Young artists will carefully look at themselves and the world around them through a variety of art activities. Projects will focus around self and family portraits, as well as artists who explore similar themes, such as Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picassos and Andy Warhol.

Session Three:
Art Around the World
Young artists will travel around the world on an artistic journey, exploring 2-3 dimensional multi-cultural art activities. We may visit Ghana to be inspired to create our own woven designs, or India to create henna-inspired patterned art, or look to our great Canadian artists to learn about Inuit art, animals as our muse, and much more!

Session Four:
Art Safari
Young artists will explore the wild kingdom through animal-inspired art activities. Possible projects include papermache dinosaur eggs, stripes and spots printmaking, shoe rubbing fish creations, and more!
