Drawing 1: Sept.4-25th
This class offers an introduction to drawing techniques and media. It is a great class for anyone looking to expand their drawing skills and/or learn technical and formal conventions of drawing. Some of the specific ideas that will be covered in this class include:
* contour
* gesture
* proportion
* negative space
* line

Drawing 2: Oct.2-23rd
This class is for anyone who is looking to expand their artistic approach to drawing and will include formal elements along with the incorporation of conceptual ideas. Some specific areas that will be covered in this class include:
* weighting: variety of line, darks and lights
* movement
* emotion
* light
* focal points
* balance
* mood
* integrated concepts

Encaustic Painting: Nov.6-27th
Encaustic is a technique that uses beeswax and pigments as a medium to create paintings and/or mixed media works. In this class, participants will be introduced to encaustic techniques, image transfer, collage, and mixed media embedding.

Painting 101: Jan.8-29th
In this class, will be focus on the exploration of painting using colour, composition, and formal painting techniques. Tutorials on Watercolour, Acrylic, and Oil painting will be presented.

Intro to Ceramics: Apr.9-30th
The basics of throwing and hand building pottery will be introduced in this class and each participant will create a minimum of two pieces.
